97) TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY(1991)

A masterpiece that sequels worked HARD to ruin.

I didn't think of A CHRISTMAS STORY but I wish I had!  I like that better than KNIVES OUT (which I just finally watched).

"Nothing Lasts Forever"   (1984)
Tom Shiller (of SNL fame) made this nearly flawless film ...that has yet to be officially released.  There was a digital "leak" of a decent copy a couple of years ago. So it is floating around on peoples computers/hard drives. Most the reviewers say it is an accessible version of "Brazil" (1985) and I would agree with that sentiment - Even though it was made a whole year before.  Zach Gafinoffis "golly gee Whiz" performance is flawless. He pulls it off without a trace of irony or self awareness whatsoever. That alone grounds this absurd [city bus] journey to the Moon that much more enjoyable.
