I was glad to see Kristen Stewart was nominated: most of the other titles didn't exactly set the box office on fire.

My voting guild (Online FIlm Critics Society) often predicts Oscar winners correctly. If it does this year, the winners will be

MOVIE: Power of the Dog
ANIMATED: Micthells vs. the Machines
DIRECTOR; Jane Campion, Power of the Dog
ACTOR: Benedict Cumberbach
ACTRESS: Ollvia Colman
SUPPORTING ACTOR: Kodi Smit-McPhee
SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Kirsten Dunst

In other words, a near-sweep for POWER OF THE DOG (which, don't get me wrong, is good, but not so good that it should win everything).

Congrats to Kristen Stewart, she deserved it.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

I never-and may never- watch any of these films. I never put much weight behind the Oscars.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

Me either.
