If the judge does issue a gag order about the case, I think Trump is either going to go to jail for contempt or else spontaneously combust - because the one thing he CAN'T do is keep his mouth shut - about ANYTHING!

Just hope there's no serious violence today. I'm afraid that's what Trump wants. He could have done the arraignment remotely, the way a minor but sensitive white collar case like this would normally be handled, but insisted on making a spectacle by showing up in person.

I hope things will be peaceful unlike what happened in 2021 here when one of our former leaders was sent to prison.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

I was telling a college student about The Starr Report, he couldn't believe what I was saying. Its kind of been lost to history, but thats the obvious precedent for this Trump stuff

Methinks the notion was to place Trump in custody, & Trump is showing people he aint running away...

From what I keep hearing, there's more press than protestors & supporters....

Aaaand I just looked up at my TV, & there's been a couple more train wrecks, one in the Netherlands, & the other in Montana...

No violence so far, thankfully.

There was a riot I mean peaceful protest in Nashville last week, but very few mentions of it.

So, leaving aside some other things I've heard about the charges, I found out Bragg was hoping to start the trial NEXT YEAR.

NOW try & tell me this aint about politics!

That's not that unusual, actually. Pretrial motions can easily take a year and Trump lawyers typically like to delay as much as possible. I'm following a much less contentious case that was filled in 8/22 where the judge hasn't even ruled on the pretrial motions yet. My father is a witness in a criminal case that has been going on for years and years (there was a mistrial and the whole thing had to start over).

According to this law firm, "some people wait years to actually see their felony trial date."
