ER

Do you ever feel like taking a long break from the internet?
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

Not a really long brea, but a small break every now and then.
yeah no.

As I get older, I often wonder what it would be like to step back to my 16-year-old self, knowing all that I know now, and live my life over.
Would I do it, if I could?  Honestly, I think I would.  I've had a good life, overall, but there are things I wish I had done differently.
And some things I wish I'd done sooner.

What about you?  A complete do-over at the age of your choosing, knowing all you know now.
Yea or nay?
"I shall smite you in the nostrils with a rod of iron, and wax your spleen with Efferdent!!"

ER

Nay. Forward, never back.

I sometimes wish I would have stayed in NYC a little longer, being I was poised to get a job at HEAVY METAL magazine, which was a sci-fi horror comic. But I hated the city.

Things have turned out well for me, but yes, I would love to try again. I would go back to 18 and go to film school.

See, my thinking is if I went back in time I'd be killing people I loved, at least from my perspective in the reality I'd then be inhabiting, because in going back things would be different, and new opportunities wouldn't be worth that. I'd feel guilty and I'd miss them so much it'd tear me apart. Plus it'd be exposing myself to new dangers and who is to say I wouldn't have died in some accident instead of making it this far.

All that said, if I did go back, I would absolutely choose a different career. I might aim for being a SAHM, truthfully, because at times in my life I had to be away from my family and lost so much that way that cannot be given back.

So I'd play this hand I was dealt.

Mostly the same, except I'd have sex with most of the girls who I didn't realise were coming on to me at the time.  :bouncegiggle:

Also, it goes without saying, I'd invest in Apple.

Probably would go back and start losing weight there, finding a summer job for the summer, and plan on being who I currently am.
yeah no.

ER

If you try, really try, can you remember how it felt in that first minute of getting off school for the summer?
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

Alex

Yes. I felt somewhat similiar to that when I got back home after leaving my work for the last time.

I recall it as a feeling of relief rather than exhilaration, peace rather than excitement.

RCMerchant

I recall me and my friends jumping in cars and jamming Schools Out by Alice Cooper on the 8 track.
