^ Homeless people will survive. They know how to live with nothing. Comfy cozy folks will die.

I just tried to watch Corey Feldman in concert. Holy f**king trainwreck. So BAD.
Watching him try to play a harmonica is like watching a monkey try to f**k a football.

For most of my life I've been fascinated with Hadrian's Wall (and Offa's Dike) and until it became unwise for me to return to the UK, I intended at some point to walk the Hadrian's Wall Trail, and seeing the Robin Hood tree there was always something I looked forward to. When I heard vandals had cut it down, I felt sadness, soon replaced by a strong desire to badly hurt whoever had done it. An empty desire but a desire never the less, and one that surprised me by being so powerful.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

They've arrested a young boy and an old man for cutting it down.

^ Yeah, I bet bad s**t comes their way. Seriously, I wish no good on them.

Learned a few new Orwell quotes that don't get much attention, today....
Also finally figured out that a meme about classy women from times gone by VS. today's post punk girls, is actually a still from a bawdy '60s comedy.....

So, my next viewing choices are 1984 (1954), 1984 (1956) or Sex Kittens Go To College (1960).....
(I've already seen 1984 (1984)...)

I keep thinking about the song Sexbeat by The Gun Club, but then this stupid ad for KeepSakeFrames.com comes on & screws it all up in my head.......

Today, I was trying to think about Sexbeat by The Gun Club, and found myself thinking about Centerfield by John Fogerty...

Enough bad news for today....
Rather than sit through one of the 1984s, I sat through Sex Kittens Go To College (1960)....

Pretty slow, relying heavily on innuendo, with a ten minute long scene of strippers dancing for a robot & a monkey towards the end that quickly gets as grating as the children from around the world segment of Santa Claus (1959).....
Co-stars Mijanou Bardot (Billed as Brigitte Bardot's sister) with her voice dubbed over.....

Sesame Street may be the greatest TV series of all time, but it also had way better music when I was little. (The hand-washing song is something I still hum along to in my head each of the score-plus times a day I wash my hands; what will today's kids remember, the theme to Elmo's World? How can you scrub away germs to that thing?) It also used to have Barklee the Dog, who was up among Lassie and Wishbone as all-time best TV dogs. I don't know where Barklee went but he's not there anymore. (Do Muppets die?)  Too much Elmo now. Too much CGI, not enough Muppets who aren't red and irritating. Also too much Bart and not enough Homer anymore!

If everyone who in no way contributes beneficially to the world in any way were suddenly to be removed from existence, I wonder how many people would be left?

The right wingers keep comparing the attack on Israel to the Holocaust, but I think the Nanjing Massacre put things more in perspective.....
