what it says... name some movies which had a 'part 2', but then no more installments (to date).

SPLASH / SPLASH TOO

TEEN WOLF / TEEN WOLF TOO

SPEED / SPEED 2

- I appreciate things can sometimes get a bit vague and uncertain when deciding what is and isnt a 'sequel', or part of a franchise, so I'll leave that open to interpretation

Basic Instinct + Basic Instinct 2
The Fly (1986) + The Fly II (1989)
Hocus Pocus + Hocus Pocus 2

BIRDEMIC / BIRDEMIC 2

THE BIRDS / THE BIRDS 2

only found out there was a 1994 sequel to THE BIRDS from one of those 'sequels you never knew existed' lists

yeah was thinking about this one... remake, and then sequel to the remake. no reason why it shouldn't count

same deal with

THE HILLS HAVE EYES / THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2

the 70s original and the 2000s remake both have 1 sequel...

BLAIR WITCH PROJECT/ BWP2: BOOK OF SHADOWS

trying to think of 80s slashers with only 2 installments... seems they either have 3+, or were one-offs!

wasn't really familiar with these. indiana jones knock off by the looks of it. wiki says a 3rd sequel was planned but reception to the sequel was so bad they scrapped it!

SAVAGE BEACH / RETURN TO SAVAGE BEACH

There are a couple of little-known Porky's sequels, "Porky's Revenge" and "Porky's Pimpin' Pee Wee" (2009).

I don't think I'd include the "Savage Beach" movies either, since they're both part of a larger Andy Sidaris series. "Savage Beach" is itself a sequel to "Picasso Trigger."

But I can't think of anything actually constructive to add!
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

so apparently THE OGRE was released outside Italy as DEMONS 3

I guess the dividing line I'll use is: if there seems to be an officially released vhs/dvd cover showing there was a 'threequel', then that's enough to discount it from this thread. in this case there does...

I'm pretty sure there's a similar situation with some movie which is also known as 'TROLL 3'? can't find any artwork (or the actual movie in question) for that though...
