Airplane (1980)
Airplane 2: The Sequel (1982)

Glad they didn't do anymore.  Both films have me in stitches even having watched them multiple times.

good one... the NAKED GUN films came to mind (there's 3 of those, of course) but I didn't think of AIRPLANE

just seen an article saying apparently they wanted to do another sequel, but Robert Hayes (Ted Stryker) refused to return

HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER has a 'Part 2' from the 90s... I saw it within the last year or so, and remember nothing about it.

Buddy Cooper has directed and previewed his new sequel to his 80s slasher THE MUTILATOR, and I am itching to see it!!!! there's a trailer up on youtube since a couple of years back, but the movie itself seems to be stuck in 'release hell' - if that's a thing?

that's the only 80s slasher with a part 2 (and no further sequels) that I can think of....

chainsaw midget

Romancing the Stone/Jewel of the Nile

little known 90s slashers... The Fear/The Fear:  Halloween Night

Conan the Barbaria/Conan the Destroyer (if you don't count the remake and Red Sonja)

Gremlins/Gremlins 2 (Still surprises the hell out of me that they still haven't made a 3.)

For a recent example Beetlejuice and Beetlejuice Bee--- ah!  Ya' almost got me there!  Nice try, B-Man.

claws

Fright Night + Fright Night Part 2
Swamp Thing + The Return of Swamp Thing
The Hidden + The Hidden II
The Gate + The Gate II: Trespassers
C.H.U.D. + C.H.U.D. II: Bud the C.H.U.D.
Is it October yet?

yeah curious that they haven't... would be a guaranteed seat-filler if they did, even now.

-or maybe they just thought where the hell can we even go  with this, after the 2nd one :)

not enough acronym movie titles these days. that's what's missing!

Good for him as the two films are spot on.

Anymore and I think it would've turned into a Police Academy type franchise  :buggedout: Studio's really are clueless sometimes.

KINDERGARTEN COP 2 (2016)

I like the first one, not sure what the point of a belated sequel with Dolph Lubdgren in Arnie's role is
