Quote from: Leah on February 19, 2025, 09:03:04 PMMy condolences as well.

Thanks, I hope you will find a way to help your sibling and their child.
The only thing that can help my sibling is if they take their meds, which they don't.  I'm going to go no contact with them whenever I move out, this is beyond frustrating. If they weren't in a reunification case with their ex then they would've been committed to a mental hospital until this passes.
Well they were taken to a hospital today. A massive clean up is needed after what they did.
yeah no.

So for the past fortnight I've been reading this 2,000-page biography of Gladstone that was written in 1903, and for the last hundred pages the subject has been Gladstone's conflicting feelings of mutual attraction to both the evangelical wing of the Church of England, and its doctrinal opposite, the Oxford Movement, initially dubbed the Tractarians, and strangely my feelings have run run less towards "why am I reading this?" than to "why do I find this so fascinating?"

so my random thought of today was:

does every single letter in the alphabet occur in the official numbers / numerals of the english language? (i.e. one, two, three... hundred, thousand, million etc)

...it seems that the letter "J" does not occur in any numeral

"Z" occurs just once, in 'zero'

the letter "P" is next least used, and seems to occur just twice, in 'septillion' and 'septendecillion' (...never heard of those numbers before today)

so there ya go, fascinating stuff eh.
