"Totality" by Natural Information Society & b***hin Bajas. Hard to describe. It's a collaboration between a jazz group and a space-rock group. I think the idea was John Coltrane meets Tangerine Dream; that's not quite it, it stays mostly on the ambient side, but it is interesting music.

got this CD... and about 10 other albums by Luke Vibert under various aliases. The album called 'Big Soup' he released under his own name might be the one most up your alley if you liked Throbbing Pouch.

I don't like how these guys use all the different aliases for different projects. Seems to hurt their own brand more than anything. But thanks for the rec! I do like the Throbbing Pouch but it is almost purely background.

yeah I know what you mean. in his case he does actually do it depending on genre. his house stuff is done as 'Kerrier District', Drum'n'Bass stuff as 'Plug', etc... The Wagon Christ stuff tends to be mid-tempo / trip hop type beats generally.

"Cancionera" by Natalia Lafourcade. Mexican folk songs with some elaborate string and horn arrangements (produced by Alejandro Jodorwosky's son!) Fantastic stuff.
