I really like this one

I loved this

Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

I never understood the love for SPACEBALLS. I think it marked the beginning of Brooks' decline.

I quite liked Spaceballs. Robin Hood Men in Tights as well. Might be nostalgia though, as I saw them as a kid, before I saw his other films.

My SPACEBALLS opinion is unpopular.  :tongueout:

I thought Dracula: Dead and Loving It was funnier than Robin Hood: Men in Tights.
Is it October yet?

Never thought they do a sequel, almost 40 years later :buggedout:

That shot of James Stewart hanging onto the gutter by his fingernails always makes me go 😳😳😳😳

My parents took me to see it in the theater for (iirc) my 10th birthday. Even at 10, I was mildly underwhelmed by it, though I loved STAR WARS and ALIEN. Then again, I don't like YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN much, either, which I recognize is a highly unpopular opinion. (I do love BLAZING SADDLES, THE (original) PRODUCERS, and HISTORY OF THE WORLD PART I....... that last one probably constitutes another unpopular opinion.)

VERTIGO is... rather boring! I dunno what was up w/ Hitch in this one and REAR WINDOW, having nice Jimmy Stewart obsess over these bland blondes while ignoring the nice ladies who actually care for him. Grace Kelly did very little for me and Kim Novak, less than nothing. It inspired elements of TWIN PEAKS though so that's something.

Been a while since I watched it. I liked bits of , from what I remember.

I seem to remember it got bad reviews when it came out.  I thought it was average at best but it's gained a cult status since.  Probably because there's way too much Star Wars around 😄

there was 1 kid in our primary school who'd seen ALIEN, and when he told me about the stomach bursting scene I was obsessed. I used to repeatedly ask him to describe that scene to me in detail  :bouncegiggle:

eventually saw ALIEN in my 20s!

I despise STAR WARS and anything STAR WARS related.

can't find enough of a reason to despise STAR WARS, it's more like total apathy... (and I was very into all things 'Space' as a kid too).

I did like the toys, but the films did/do nothing for me.

Oh how lovely. I wish I'd known students like you in my elementary (primary) school! I don't think I met a single person outside my household who was ever remotely interested in anything I'd read or watched until I was at least 15 year old.

I'm kind of, I dunno..ambivalent towards them. I refused to watch any for a long time. I watched the original trilogy...and was underwhelmed. Like, I can see how people might like them, but it's not for me. Don't hate it, won't watch again.
