I bet they did. The small, agile ones. Nova did a computer generated simulation of a T-Rex moving and it suggested Jurassic Park got them wrong, they didn't run so much as shuffled, and rarely had to hunt because a species that dangerous could just show up and take another creature's kill, like lions often do today.
