Does anyone remember those Prehysteria films? All the talk about dinosaur movies dredged that up and now everyone must suffer with me.  :bouncegiggle:

Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend  I saw this in the theatre when I was ten years old and distinctly remember seeing a topless woman.  I felt like I had died and went to National Geographic heaven.

I would have guessed that someone else on this site would have seen that movie, but I wouldn't have guessed it would show up on the first page of the Dino Movie thread.  I remember seeing that movie when I was about 4 years old, and not since.  Without looking it up, the only thing I remember about it offhand is that I think the guy from HOUSE and CARRIE was in it.

Yes: William Katt.  Also Sean Young and Patrick McGoohan.

( :teddyr: I have had the VHS for years.)

The Valley of Gwangi is probably my favorite dinosaur movie. Dinosaurus! is another fun one, featuring two dinosaurs and a caveman that are thawed out of some ice chunks and come back to life.

These were goodies too, mate. I remember seeing them on various 70's era showcases, such as WOR 9's afternoon movies and one of my old favorites, WNEW 5's Creature Features.   I also remember seeing The Beast From Hollow Mountain on the horror showcases as well.

Another one that was pretty decent was the original and uncut Varan The Unbelievable, one of my fave giant flying marine iguanas, lol

QuoteGlad I'm not the only one listing Jurassic Park as number one. It's probably the most mainstream choice, but it is the best dinosaur movie I've seen, and I can watch it over and over. Good cast, good performances, some memorable and possibly iconic moments, the story was exciting, the kids actually added something, the John Williams score was one of his best, and the CGI was more lifelike than it's been in most movies over the following 17 years. And it didn't rely entirely on CGI, using some first-rate animatronics.
