MacBeth

I mean, he knows from the outset that this isn't going to work out for him, so why does he bother?
Why does he do it all so obsessively when he already knows he's going to lose in the end?
It's never made sense.

He had no choice, it was fate. Plus, his wife nags him into it. Anything to get her to shut up for two seconds!

Been a while since I had to study it, but doesn't he kill Banquo to try and alter the prophecy?
Hail to thyself
For I am my own master
I am my own god
I require no shepherd
For I am no sheep.

He tries, and fails, to kill Banquo's sons to alter the prophecy. I believe the murder of Banquo himself was just collateral damage.

That's another thing; Everyone MacBeth kills is a close friend of his....
He doesn't come across as a conniving two-faced little backstabbing bastard like Shakespeare's other villains.....

On another topic: pedicures. Particularly, why women like them.

Why do people let their cars idle when there's no reason for it? Shut the thing off if you're not going anywhere.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

If you live in a cold place, it helps to let your car idle beforehand to warm up the engine. And of course to defrost the windows.

Not allowed here in Germany, especially in winter. If you are scraping ice from your car windows and your car is warming up you can get fined. Idle car is a "harassment" to neighbors according to road traffic regulations. No idea how they do this in the U.S. though.
Is it October yet?

^No law against it in Michigan. If you didn't do it no one would get out of they're driveways. When it's minus 2 F-what ya gonna do. Good to have some aerosol ether for the carb too.

Here in SA it's become "a thing" to let your car idle during the day no matter the weather: several people who lice in the Airbnb part of my home do it and I have to go outside and tell them to either go or shut the engine off.
