It took me some work to muster up the will to watch this all the way through again, but I finally did so.  This really is a nearly worthless film.  It is one of those movies that detracts from the original.  I wonder if Disney understands that concept.

For my part, I have a serious urge to watch "Heavy Metal" again.  "Hanging's too good for him. Burning's too good for him!"

Good review...

One thing though, that noisy duck ad at the top of the screen nearly drove me crazy.

Other than that, it was great!

I've always been a great fan of the first one and feared the day I would eventually end up watching this sequel. Thanks Andrew, now that day won't come any time sooner.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

The first one was great...part of my teenage years...I saw the second one when it was released to the rental store near me. I was p**sed. All that went through my mind was, "why?"...the "story" was terrible and the art was worthless. There was no need to make that movie at all.

Who'd think an animated movie whose main character is voiced by a porn star could be bad?

Yeah! Watch the first one, it's a classic!

The scene you quoted is my brother's favorite.

The trial is cool, but my favorites's are Dann of Earth, the first story and the last story.
Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

I'm kind of embarrassed to admit that I sort of liked it.  The original is loads better, but I was entertained by it.  Billy Idol does not have a future in voice work though.  He was awful.  He made Julie Strain look like a consummate professional.

I liked the original, have always been scared of this sequel.  Glad I didn't watch it; it seems Andrew took one for the team here.

Yeah, I seem to do a lot of that.  My wife walks out in the morning to find me drooling on the floor and says, "Glad I did not stay up to watch 'Psychomania' with you."

We need to find you something less socially repellent.  Making body noises in crowded elevators perhaps.

I guess I'll crawl back into my hole and rewatch the Danish version of REPTILICUS.

I'll second the "nearly worthless" part.

I think Michael Ironside was trying to suck as much as possible in this movie.  He's given some bad performances before but, damn.

But it was really Julie Strain who killed the movie for me.  I think I made it through four or five lines of dialogue from her and had to stop watching.

I made the mistake of watching this one after watching the first, entertaining film.  In terms of plotting and performance, sure it's terrible, but not really as bad as some other films out there, but it's the mish-mash of visuals that tips it over the edge into the 'totally worthless' category.

But if you want a laugh [and perhaps to throw things at the TV] watch the special features on the dvd.  The movie itself makes a whole lot more sense once you see the mentality of the guys behind the film.  Morons is perhaps being too positive really.

See my comments at Andrews' review, but since I mentioned the barfight, here are some of my favorite barfights . . .

Brannigan
Necessary Roughness
North to Alaska
Rough Night in Jericho

What are yours?

He does it enough to earn combat pay.
Afganistan, Iraq, not this....we need to make a medal for 'em...what would you call a B-movie Medal of Honor?

I like the one in Another 48 Hours.
Or was it the first one?
