Thanks to someone posting it on google video I have finally been able to see a great b-movie. It was slow but the parts with all the puppets made the film worth wile for me. I downloaded the video so i can watch it whenever. Too bad the dvds are discontinued.  I felt rather bad for the puppets in the film they were abused  :bluesad: What do all of you think of the series?

Welcome to the Forum Hunky Magoo. Personally I really like the PUPPET MASTER films. For some reason I like Leech Woman, The drill head, and the guy with the small head and the big hands.

I think I've only seen the first one but I do have a Pinhead action figure

I LOVE PUPPET MASTER, the first dvd's i ever bought was that box set. i also have a slew of figures and some of my merch signed by charles band.

So far i only saw the original and the godawful Retro Puppet Master. If only they would make a new dvd set.   Vhs alone cost like 40 bucks

I always liked 4 & 5 myself, although I havent seen them in a really long time. I have a collection of the action figures, I even tried buying a small trunk like the one in the movie and putting them inside, but the velcro straps I used got messed up. My dvd holy grail would be finding 4 and 5 (or at least 4) and the original demonic toys. (Speaking of which, you'll want to avoid puppetmaster vs the demonic toys like the plague)  :twirl:

I liked the first one quite a bit.  Especially that drunk woman, she was great!  The movie had a sort of surreal feeling to it that I enjoyed a lot as well.

I've seen a few of the sequels and didn't care for them too much.  Full Moon has the box set of those movies available here:  http://www.fullmoondirect.com/DVDS_c_5.html

I remember seeing the DVD box set for the puppet master movies years ago when I didn't even know what puppet master was; now I'm a fan and it's off the shelves forever. Go figure.

I do have retro puppet master and curse of the puppet master....the two that probably shouldn't be on DVD......or exist at all for that matter.

Blade was the coolest, and the stop motion in the earlier ones was pretty slick too.

i just dont understand how the effects for the puppets and creativity when down the toilet. it really urks the s**t out of me with these pile of crap PM movies coming out i.e. curse, retro, legacy, puppet master vs. demonic toys.

I've always thought that the 1st Puppet Master was a fun little B movie.

It makes a good double feature with Stuart Gordon's "Dolls".

the sequels though were horrid.

I actually liked the 2nd and 3rd a little better than the first one

I loved the first Puppet Master movie. The sequels were hit and miss and got more and more ridiculous. I absolutely hated the second one (if that was the one with Toulon all bandaged up like the invisible man throughout); the acting reeked and the feel of the first one was totally lost.
