Honestly late 1980s WWF Tag wrestling was awesome too...you had Demolition, the Hart Foundation, the Rougeau Brothers, the Killer Bees, the British Bulldogs, the Bolsheviks, the Bushwhackers, the Young Stallions, the Powers of Pain, the Brain Busters, the Rockers, the Colossal Connection, the Twin Towers and so many more.

I like Miz and Truth as a tag team but they still seem like singles grapplers to me as does Air Boom. True tag teams dress and act alike and stay together for years and are mainly interested only in tag team gold..kind of like the underused Usos. Really sucks they released D.H. Smith as I`d like to have see the Hart Dynasty reform.
The late '80s teams were good too.  Remember though, I was around 5 or 6 at the time.  My memory of a lot of those matches are still shady.  I did see a few on WWE's "Greatest Teams" 3-Disc set.  I've been looking through YouTube as well.  I liked some of ECW's teams too: The Eliminators, The Gangsters, Dudleys, etc.

Harlem Heat was good too.  I'd like the WWE to re-ignite the division but it seems a backburner thing.  I read recently that the Kings of Wrestling from ROH were signed, or approached about signing.  If so, that could be a good thing if they really amp up the division.  In a perfect world, WWE would sign the Kings of Wrestling, The Briscoe Brothers, Haas & Benjamin.  Then keep Air Boom together, Miz-Truth, and a couple other WWE teams.  Doubt it'd happen though.

Enjoyed a lot of Raw last week. Some really good movement forward in several storylines and they managed to make Punk look strong despite his loss at Night of Champions, Henry looked mega strong and unstoppable (I think he's doing great as World Champion - great to see him get a real push as he'd worked really hard recently IMO), managed to create a further spark of intrigue with Cena-Punk as Cena seemed to show perhaps some jealousy as he raised Punk's arm - for a minute I expected him to turn heel on Punk. Also they're keeping things going with Triple H spinning more out of control as COO firing even more people with Miz and Truth who I really suspect will be nevertheless back in short order along with Nash. A little bit more focus on building up mid-card guys and a tag division would improve things just that much more.

I've recently gotten more into Steamboat's work.  They had him spotlighted on WWE Classics On Demand, as well as being spotlighted on some Flair dvd's.  As a young kid around 5 or so in the late '80s, I didn't appreciate the 'ringwork' as much as the flair and other stuff like Sting and Hogan and Warrior had and such.

Yokozuna was pretty cool and could move well in the ring until he ballooned up to over 600 pounds. When he was 505, he could really go surprisingly good. He actually started in the AWA as Kokina Maximus and was a member of the famous Wild Samoan family.

Steamboat in-ring was like poetry in motion to me, just beautiful to watch his technique and how effortless he made moves look that had to be hard to accomplish night after night. Guys like Steamboat, Flair, Savage, Santana, Martel really made me appreciate wrestling at a young age.

This guy here, is a favorite of mine.  RVD.

I actaully met him and got his autograph the day of No Way Out 2003 when he took on Goldust. RVD has a nice firm handshake.
