Earlier, I was surfing around on Youtube watching disgusting clips.  Then I read this article about the Top 10 Sickest Movies.

There are some truly sick films out there!
I'd like to sit down and watch a few of them sometime just out of morbid curiosity.
(Sometimes I like to be grossed out)

The number one movie on that list was August Underground's Mordum.
There are a few clips on Youtube of it and all I can say is, "Damn!  That's f***ed up!"
They're much too graphic to be posted here.  I think Andrew would be a little perturbed if I posted a clip of two psychos forcing a guy to cut his own willy off with a pair of scissors.   :buggedout:

The company that made it, TOE TAG Pictures has quite the reputation for making nauseating films.

How about you?
Know of any really sick and depraved exploitation films?

some ex-wrestler has a movie that apparently tops them all.  i can't remember what it's called.

my vote for #1 would be todd solondz'  "happiness"

The GG Allin film HATED springs immediately to mind, though it's actually a documentary, so I'm not sure it would count.  While disturbing on quite a few levels, I found it kind of hilarious in that, here was a guy who seemed determined to kill himself during a "performance" and didn't seem to worry about taking out a few folks around him in the process, yet there was never a shortage of people willing to go see this guy.

All things being equal, it's pretty tough to top the August Underground stuff.  I pretty much have a high threshold for most anything(TWO GIRLS ONE CUP aside!), but thanks to the immediacy created by the bare bones guerilla filmmaking, their stuff has a much more grotesque impact.  While the overused meme 'torture porn' is thrown around today like a cheap doll, the AU stuff clearly deserves the label.

I guess the only thing I've seen to really outdo MORDUM et al, is Chuck Berry's vid.  And unfortunately for mankind, that's all to real. *shudddeerrrrrr*
That's my driver's license picture....I hate that picture!"

Pretty typical list. I've seen three of those films and "Ichi the Killer" is nowhere near as unsettling as "Salo."

Soylentgreen, thanks for bringing Hated to my attention!  I had no idea that there was a documentary out there about GG.  I'll have to check it out ASAP.

You want disturbing films, Ash?  When in my teens, I went through a phase where I would rent anything horror or horror-ish.  I found some truly disturbing films during those years, ones that have images burned permanently in my mind.  Here are three that I recommend if you're looking for something to fu*k you over:

Men Behind The Sun - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093170/

Salo - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073650/

In A Glass Cage - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090197/

Each of them are interesting in their own right but they are some of the most affecting films I've ever seen in my life.  I recommend them with caution.

NOTE:  Well crap, I just read the article you posted and noticed that Salo and Men Behind The Sun are both on there.  Oh well.

Isnt Salo that movie where people are forced to eat poop? I've been avoiding that one.

The sickest, most depraved film I've eer seen was a quasi-porn flik called SQUIRM FEST,through SHOCKING VIDEOS.

I saw too many of these films in my twenties, and have no desire to see any more (with the exception of ICHI, which sounds sort of intriguing).  SALO, in my opinion, is not worth viewing.  It's artistic reputation is completely manufactured.  But the poop is chocolate,  KYGOTC, in case that was the only thing holding you back.

HATED is interesting, definitely in a different class than the others.  But having known a self-destructive individual with a GG Allin-eque exhibitionist personality, who blew his brains out with a shotgun in front of his girlfriend for his final act, I found it more depressingly familiar than anything.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Rev Powell,

I highly recommend checking out Ichi The Killer.  It's a hell of a flick and certainly an experience.  It's not nearly as bad as most people make it out to be.  A good bit of violence, and the movie revolves around rape.  It's nothing worse than numerous other exploitation flicks.

Oh, booy... do we REALLY want to go down this path?

Alright, you asked for it...

Well, a lot of them have already been mentioned, but I've heard and seen the trailer for a film called Slaughtered Vomit Dolls.  It's basically a hodgepodge of violence, nudity and lots of people puking.  The website it's the first in the genre of "vomit gore"  You can read a review here http://www.joblo.com/arrow/dvd_reviews.php?id=1137

Speaking of the article, here's something weird.. on the bottom they give honorable mentions to (among others) Hellraiser 2, Mermaid in a Manhole, Nekromantik 1&2, Kichiku, Cabin Fever, Audition, Land of the Dead,

What?

Cabin Fever?  Land of the Dead?  Hellraiser 2?  Did I watch different movies than they did?  Yeah, each of them have gory, but I don't think any of them reach nearly the level of sickness that the previous films do.

Who wants to look at this sh!t?  These were enough for me:
CANNIBAL FERROX (Make Them Die Slowly)
I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE
LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT
ODISHON (Audition)

As BTM pointed out, the "honorable mentions" are not nearly so upsetting, like PINK FLAMINGOS.  Pier Paolo Pasolini was murdered not long after SALO, some think because of it.
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

I haven't watched August Underground's Mordum, but i did start to watch August Underground's Penance(theres actually a trilogy). I got almost through the first ten minutes. Why on earth would someone sleep with their brother? Better yet, when the girl is accused with sleeping with her brother, she then starts to cut herself with a broken bottle while taunting her boyfriend about how much he wants to fu&* her. uh, gross..that was enough for me. Two of my favorite films are Nekromantic and Aftermath, but atleast they were done in more of a subdued fashion with some element of taste and decent actors, aside from Monica O, but August's Underground Penance was just trash and filth. Gee, when did i start sounding like my mother?... :buggedout:

Have to say the sickest video I ever actually watched was Shocking Asia. Rented it at a local video store when I was 18 or so. Some very disturbing footage, particularly the male-to-female sex change operation. Had to look away for most of that part.

I've got some renting to do :drink:

Personally, I think Flesh for Frankenstein would be an honorable mention for this list. I've seen a few "odd" movies over the years but this most recent viewing is pretty wrong. It's paced alright but every now and then you are treated to a"...what?" moment, the "good" doctor,  in ecstasy from pulling out organs, mounting and fornicating with the corpse he's re-animating being up there with the better () ones; The doc's wife is also a pretty disgusting woman, her "bed" nosies made me want to leave the room, bleh.
