I have NO clue where I saw this. I'm not even entirely sure it was a full movie, or whether it was an episode of series.....

Some "thing" has trapped people, possibly on Earth, but they are confined to this area by an invisible force field/barrier. At a certain time each day, I believe with a siren warning, a select number of people are "sucked" into the sky, as if the law of gravity didn't exist for them.

A small group of individuals decide to try and escape. They found a building, where the barrier actually went through it. The thought was to remove the floor boards, and start digging under the barrier to the other side for means of escape. However, they had to ensure their attempts at escape were hidden, otherwise they were punished by being taken into the sky.

I remember a small scene in a jeep (maybe an army jeep), where the warning was given and the people didn't have time to go inside. One guy tried to hold on to the jeep, but the force or lack of gravity was too strong to fight and he flew away into the sky.

Anyone recognize this as a movie? I hope so. This has been bugging me for YEARS!!

The only "people sucked into the sky" movie that I can think of is THE FORGOTTEN with Julianne Moore.

Professor Hathaway:  I noticed you stopped stuttering.
Bodie:      I've been giving myself shock treatments.
Professor Hathaway: Up the voltage.

I found the movie in parts on youtube.com, but it doesn't look familiar at all. Still, the description kinda sounds like what I described. Thanks for your help!

Your film might possibly be "The Body Stealers" with Sean Connery's brother Neil.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.
