Since we've been discussion the incomparable Andy Milligan on another thread, here's the trailer to his classic GURU, THE MAD MONK:

It gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect in his films.

And speaking of classics, can you imagine the editors trying to keep a straight face while assembling this deadpan trailer for filmdom's arguably goofiest monster?

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

I recorded this movie off TV a while back.  Still haven't gotten around to watching it, oddly enough...

I demand that you watch this movie IMMEDIATELY!  BLOOD FREAK is the greatest Christian anti-drug gore movie of all time!  (IMO)  I can't believe you've let this treasure sit on a shelf unwatched!
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Still one of the worst I've ever reviewed...and one of the most popular in recent years.

You people have absolutely no sympathy for my small income; otherwise, you wouldn't tempt me with all of this garbage to desire and covet.

You recorded this off TV?  Where?  When?  WTF?  No place around here shows fun garbage like this.  I had to buy the DVD.

Jack can answer this better than I can, but I believe it was shown on TMC's cult movie show TCM Underground (don't know if it was uncut).  I keep meaning to check out the show, but it airs in the wee hours on weekends. Some decent fare has shown up there, including a rare screening of FASTER p***yCAT and even SKIDOO (if I didn't dream that one).

Was that a real film?

I seen some awful looking monsters but that takes the biscuit.

Yup, Turner Classic Movies, must have been a few days after Christmas, and in the middle of the night.

Okay Rev., I'll watch it  :teddyr:  If not tonight, then this weekend, promise!

The sad thing is that the actors had no idea what the monster looked like.  They played it straight and thought they were just doing the average monster movie.  Then they saw what they were fighting against when the film was released.  Wow.  And I'm sure they didn't even get a kiss after the screwing they got.

Hey, nobody gave Passmore the title:

Yes, Virginia Passmore, there really is a "The Giant Claw" -- read  Andrew's review on this very website!!

peter johnson/denny craw
I have no idea what this means.

Raffine

Funny thing about THE GIANT CLAW is, apart from the ridiculous puppet buzzard, it's actually a reasonably well-made and effective 50s style sci-fi/horror film.

Here's possibly the most deceptive trailer ever unleased:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIsI7CwjH3M

I remember seeing this trailer at the theater and being convinced that the LEPUS - whatever the hell it was - was gonna be truly terrifying.

Note: this is an example of how low on everyone's radar the original Star Trek series was in 1972. One of the lead actors in this is DeForrest Kelly, and he's not even mentioned in the ad. Paul Fix is, but not Dr. McCoy.
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.
