QuoteBoth wrong. Return of the Jedi is the best, and I don't care how many people I have to execute...erm, I mean, disagree with me.
Watching this movie is punishment for shoplifting in some countries I've heard.

Ok...that may not be true and the film isn't THAT bad.  However, the Ewoks helping trounce the empire was and still are one of the most ridiculous concepts ever to hit the screen.  That is until Jar Jar entered my nerdy life.

I can't say that BRIDE of FRANKENSTIEN is better than the first. Just different. The first film was much darker, Bride seemed to have more black humor in it. Both bonafide classics. I always thought SON of was excellent as well, even though the Monster plays second fiddle to Lugosi's stand-out performance as Ygor. 'Course...I'm kinda biased in that respect....being I am what I am.

I think the same goes for EVIL DEAD and the- revision rather than sequel-EVIL DEAD II. The second one was drop dead hilarous. Like the 3 Stooges on acid. Director Raimi and star Bruce Campbell seem to be big fans of the Stooges-witness the antics of the skeletons in ARMY of DARKNESS. Heck, Bruce and Sam both starred in even in a short called SHEMP EATS the MOON (1978)!
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

T2 was not better than Terminator.  John Connor the wannabe Bart Simpson did irreperable damage not only to T2, but the entire Terminator mythos.  THIS guy is going to grow up to save the world?

I think that was one of the points the movie was trying to get across.
The fact that John Connor would turn out to be a savior was unthinkable, even to him.

Since I have only seen a few of those movies on the list I will comment on what I know.

The Empire Strikes Back is to some extent better than Episode IV in some aspects.  Story wise it's about the same but IV is a bit better overall with story. ESB is deeper with overall story but weaker with character development for some characters.  RoTJ is the best of the original sequals, but not the best of the original trilogy.

Superman II (The original version) is not superior to the first Superman film.  Superman II, the Richard Donner cut should be on the list since it is the better than both the original Superman II, and Superman.

T2 is great, but is not equally overall better than the original Terminator.  I do have to agree with some other people on the forum that the liquid Terminator is not as intimating as Arnold was in the first film.  John Connor is too annoy and I fail to see him as the savior of man kind.

BTFII is a good sequel to BTF but not better than BTF.

The Godfather Part II is superior to the Godfather.  Both are great films.  I like The Godfather Part III even though it's not as good as the previous two films, but still a good film.

One not on the list, Superman 2 I've always liked more than the orignal.  Zod is the man.

That's General Zod to you !
