I loved The Dark Knight, but it's true that I haven't seen Batman Begins.

Pretty in Pink - Just not funny at all.

Breakfast at Tiffany's - How it is a classic is beyond me.

Titanic - It was a good concept but poorly executed.  What I didn't like was the whole love story wrapped around a tragedy.  It's one thing if it happened romance part actually happened, but since the love story part was not real that didn't help either.

Pearl Harbor - Same reasons at Titanic.

Most of Adam Sandler's films.  I used to think they were very funny but not anymore.

Scarface - I could see why people wouldn't like it.  I liked it, but it's not something I would watch again anytime soon.

I can think of one: MARY POPPINS... BEETLEJUICE too, but there was another that inspired this thread... I just can't remember at this moment...  :drink:

Napolean Dynamite.

All my friends rave about it. I couldn't take more than 15 minutes of it before I had to find something else to watch.
What do you think will be the next obstacle the Earth people will put in our way?

Well, as long as they can think we'll have our problems. But those whom we're using cannot think. They are the dead. Brought to a simulated life by our electrode guns. You know, it's an interesting thing when you consider...the Earth people, who can think, are so frightened by those who cannot: the dead.

Batman Begins is far superior.
But I doubt any Bat flick will beat Batman Returns.

Princess Bride has really lost it's luster after multiple viewings.  At least for me anyhow.

I hate the Pixar film Cars.  Probably because I hate anything resembling NASCAR.  And I also hate anything Larry The Cable Guy is involved in.

I hate Cars as well.

As for the Princess Bride, well, I don't hate it, but I can't say I'm rushing out to buy the dvd.  Overrated at times, but definitely not the worst movie I've seen.  Seems more for the women and kids anyway, but there were some okay parts.  If I happen upon it on tv and I'm not busy, I'll watch it.

Some Like it Hot (1959)  Supposed to be a classic comedy. I just don't find it all that funny. And I can't figure out what the big deal with Marilyn Monroe was supposed to be anyway.
You, sir, wouldn't know funny if you bit you on the arse.   :twirl:
That surprises me alot. To be honest I felt the same until I watched it with a girlfriend, then was in total awe of the woman.  It's a great film though, even if it's not a total barrel of laughs.
LOL. I certainly seem to have struck a nerve with this one. Isn't that what this thread is all about, admitting to hating movies even though your admission will make you an outcast in human society? Did I complain when somebody dissed A Fish Called Wanda, one of the funniest movies of all time?
About Marilyn though -- I really don't get it. I've seen her in a couple of things, and I don't get the whole mystique, why she wasn't just one more blonde starlet. With a particularly annoying breathy way of talking. The Misfits (1961) was another one where I would rather have seen just about anyone else in that role. Of the Monroe films I've seen, probably the only one I liked her in was as the scheming starlet in All About Eve (1950). You can probably diagnose something or other about me from that.
For my money there were plenty of more interesting and more attractive actresses in the 1950s.
Of course this is a thread about HATING  :hatred: a MOVIE that EVERYBODY ELSE LIKES... that doesn't mean you won't take yer lix...

I agree about MARILYN for the most part, but I like THE MISFITS, love SOME LIKE IT HOT, and both films have more to recommend them than MM

Phantasm II, III & IV
Care to tell why? :P

Because all 3 are exactly the same movie. They all jump from one scene to another completely at random, in II it's just aload of male bonding and driving around to look at open graves. III is like a really bad Buffy/Day Of The Dead rip-off with a magic 8-ball as the focal point.

Phantasm II, III & IV

I've only seen II and III...I'm guessing I wasn't missing much.

I didn't really understand the plot. Something to do with Jupiter ...
