As a Coldplay fan this may seem weird coming from me, but I don't like In My Place by Coldplay.

Also, I despise Leona Lewis's song Better in Time with a passion.  It's so annoying and the music is bad.  I always change the radio when it comes on.  :hatred:

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

Umbrella, Rhiana...I think that's it.
It was number one for ages and now I bet people couldn't even hum it.

In my day, if something was number one for that long you would know it word for word a good few years afterwards.

Like this song :

And this one...

I will know these songs till the day I die. And I can't bare 'em. But at least they're worthy number ones.

I'm going to agree with Paquita about the Steve Miller Band, but I'd single out "The Joker" in particular.

It's a song I instantly disliked the first time I heard it, and I've had to endure it time and again. The worst part is it is one of those songs that people put on when they decide they really want to "let their hair down and groove." They start singing along.

This is one of the reasons I do not spend a lot of time in bars.

There is also a crappy movie called The Pompatus of Love which was named after a phrase in this song. I don't recommend that either.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

I hate this song.  Especially in bars where everyone goes "BA BA BA".

Yeah man, it seems to hit us northeasterners a bit more severe.

I do really like that song.  and a few other Steve Miller Band songs. I wouldnt say I was a major fan or anything but I do like them, so I guess that helps prove the point of this thread a bit, lol  :teddyr:

I have a feeling I'm about to be skinned alive (especially by my English friends on the board)  but I don't see the song's appeal.

Don't worry I agree.  :teddyr:

I only like Suffragette City from Bowie's early output, then just his early 80s stuff.

Im English and there's only about 2 David Bowie songs that dont annoy me in some way...overrated

Mr. DS

Bowie's music I'm just "ok" with.  I like "Lets Dance" as a guilty pleasure.  His collaboration with Mick Jagger in "Dancing In The Streets" still disturbs me when I think of the video.

I was actually thinking of that vid when I was typing that last reply. that video couldn't be more 'wrong', they cant even blame that on 'the 80s'

on topic: always thought 'Smoke On The Water' was one of the most boring rock songs ever. also annoys me how it gets regularly voted "best riff ever" in those guitar mags and radio polls etc
