It was shown in rotation with four other imported anime shows. All but one featured a giant robot.

Jim Terry's Force Five?

In that case, he'd have to be from Starvengers (Getta Robo G), Dangard Ace, Grandaizer, Gaiking, or Spaceketeers (Starzinger).  Spaceketeers is the one without the robot.

I'll guess Dangard Ace, since I've seen the others and don't recognize the guy right off.  It was also a Leiji Matsumoto show.
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

It's Shin Chan.  I recongize that odd looking art style anywhere.

Shin Chan! Good eyes InfoGeek. That photo is from Shin's favorite tv show Action Ba$tard lol

Crayon Shin Chan started in the early 90's, so it is retro ...

I'll do the next one.  It'll be another anime.  Came out in the very late 80s and ended in the early 90s.  The anime is based of a popular manga.

Here's some new things on the cartoon to help.  A brand new picture:

New Hints: The girl in the pictures is the main character and the older guy (Previous photo) is her grandfather who is pressuring her to do something in the series.

Not Magical Girls.

If no one can get it by tonight (9 P.M. in my local area)  I'll just say what it is.  Here's a couple of more hints to help.  The anime is based of a sports manga.  The creator also did a tennis manga.

No, but I'll in another 2 hints since I'm here.  The sport in question is a martial art, like karate, kendo, or judo, and the anime went on for 124 episodes.
