OK, this is the third year for I've done this.  Here's how it works: give your nominations for the best movies of 2010 in this thread.  On Dec. 24, I'll take all the nominations and put them into a poll, and the badmovies.org community will vote for the Best Movie of 2010.

There's a mirror-image thread for Worst Movie of 2010 on the "Good Movies" board.

I'm actually going to hold off on my nomination for right now because there's one more 2010 movie I need to see (BLACK SWAN) before I can decide.  But don't let that stop you from throwing your nominations out there!
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

I've been really disappointed this year in film.

The best thing I saw was Inception but even that I didn't like as much as everyone else did.

It seems many of the films worthy of nomination have come out at the tail end.

I haven't seen The Fighter yet, but I understand this is a contender and that Christian Bale is certain for an actor nomination.

I also have not yet seen The Coen Brothers True Grit, but I understand there is some Oscar buzz there as well.

As far as what I've seen, it would be a crime if Inception does not get the nod.

The Social Network will get the nod as well, but probably won't win.

My gut tells me Inception will win.

I agree that this year was not spectacular, but I did think it was a little better than last year. I mean, Avatar was up for best picture, for crying out loud, and considered one of the favorites to win. It got beat out by The Hurt Locker, which was a good film and better than Avatar in my opinion, but I didn't find it all that special.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

So did you guys nominate any films at all for the poll?  Should I take those two posts as two noms for INCEPTION?

Oh, I thought you were just after suggestions. I have to pick just one? I guess Inception then.

It sounded to me like you were discussing Oscar nominations.  I'm taking noms for the badmovies.org poll.    I changed the title to avoid confusion.

You can take my post as a vote for Inception.

DoThe Expendables, Machete or Piranha 3-D count as good films?

If you think they are, then yes (I agree that MACHETE and PIRANHA 3D were pretty good, didn't see the other one).  Pick one.

Toy Story 3

I second that nominee.  I would also like to throw in Kick-Ass, How to Train Your Dragon, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

I say only nominate one---you would only be able to vote for one anyway, so no sense in nominating something you wouldn't vote for.

OH!  My apologies.  I nominate Kick-Ass in that case.

The Expendables.

I got exactly what I expected and I was satisfied.  Watching it was like putting on an old, worn-out shirt and kicking back in the recliner with a beer.  Ahhhhhh.

If I can nominate two, I'll also go with Piranha 3D.

I was expecting a joke movie for frat boys (which it was for the most part) but then I got sucker-punched with the best, meanest, and - yes - most horrific monster rampage I've seen in years.  Hell, even the parts meant for frat boys were uncommonly good for what they were.  Love it or hate, Piranha 3D knew what it was about and flat-out worked.
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

I'll nominate HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON since TOY STORY 3 is already (I think) on the list.  I know which I'll vote for, but I think both deserve nominations.
