Worst sequel you've ever seen?

My vote is for "Highlander II: The Quickening".

It destroyed Highlander's plot by making the immortals aliens. It's FULL of plot holes, and in general makes no sense what so ever. Someone would say "Highlander: The Source" is worse, but I see Highlander II as "Pandora's box". It was after Highlander II that every sequel and spin-off to the movie ever since has been HORRIBLE.

It turns "There can only be ONE!" into...

"There should only have been one..."

Off the top of my head, I'd say CADDYSHACK II. An example of truly pitiful and useless filmmaking.

I'm sure theres worse I can't think of right now but The Matrix Reloaded totally deflated everything I liked about the original in one sitting.

Wow. That's a good question. I'll mention a few that come immediately to mind:

Alien Resurrection
All Saw sequels after III
Arthur 2: On the Rocks
American Psycho 2

There are others, but those were the first to pop into my mind. I'm assuming you mean worst as in I didn't like them, right? Not worst like they are awesome bad movies? Because we all know what an amazing bad movie Troll 2 is.

That's stupid. How could they follow up on Highlander? Connor won the prize. It's over. There is no such thing as Highlander 2. It was just a bad dream. It was just a really bad dream.

Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid. The first movie was okay, I thought the second might be worth a watch. Egads. It had a whole stable of writers, but was like something a SyFy Channel exec might pen on the back of a napkin. Cliches piled on top of cliches piled on top of cliches, hate-able comedy relief character, I was actually predicting - correctly - what dialog they would say next. 0/5.
