I give karma to the first... person who responds who has ever owned a parrot (or other talking bird).

Maybe a parkeet doesn't qualify.. but it was capable of coming close to mimicking speech. It could say "pretty bird" rather clearly.

Yup, it was funny because I was wanting to purchase one visiting around the Cherokee village in North Carolina. I found one when searching along the banks of a river in Tennessee while we were on that summer vacation.
