It's rare, but there are occasions when this can happen. A really bad opening or ending credits sequence/roll can show up out of nowhere and just be horrible. I haven't seen many examples of this, but yet, I have encounter such a moment of utter terror.

Ugh, so, how about you guys. Ever seen an actual bad opening or ending credit sequence before?

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

I never liked the credits for Monsters Inc. Just seems so lame compared to the rest of the movie's animation.

I 'd like to nominate Manos: The Hands of Fate as that long driving scene at the beginning is clearly there so opening credits could be shown and they never came.

The filmed version of the musical Cats. The one where the eyes are floating into the screen. Honestly, I find it really boring and everytime I dig out the ol' VHS tape of Cats, I usually fast-forward the opening.

Can't think of any offhand (although I'm sure I will), but I have to say that Furry clip you linked above is HORRIBLE! Never seen the movie, but that clip was so bad it actually made me a liitle angry at the world...
Check out my movie reviews and articles at: www.cinedump.com

Or, don\\\'t check them out - see if I care. You\\\'re not my real mom anyway. Unless, you are. In which case, whatever, I\\\'ll do what I want. It\\\'s my hot body. Y\\\'all don\\\'t know me.

Well, the opening from superman 4 was really bad, and worse by the fact it was ripping off superman's excellent opening credits and making them cheap and awful...

Tower of Blood stands out for a really horrible opening sequence. It's a slasher movie, and we get to watch the slasher's feet walking down the streets for about 5 minutes. Then the camera lingers - forever - over some newspapers blowing around on the ground. Then an elevator door opens and closes - this is repeated as each end every member of the cast and crew is listed in the credits. Takes about 5 minutes just for that.

Thank you for dredging up such a horrible memory. I had the misfortune of seeing that abortion during it's theatrical run.

The opening credits for POD PEOPLE (another MST3K favorite!) actually play over scenes from another movie - Don Dohler's GALAXY INVADER.

I find just about any 80s credit sequence featuring bad rock and glowing neon/sparkily titles obnoxious. Even worse if there's a 'whoosh!' on the soundtrack when a new credit appears.
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

This one may not be the worst, but the theme song always makes me laugh:

By the way. This is available in Mill Creek's WARRIORS 50 Movie Pack. I actually watched the whole movie.

I cracked up at the end credits of DON'T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT. In the climax of the film the inmates exact revenge on their psycho head doctor (who is really another patient) and kill her. During the credits the actors are billed with loving closeups of their bloody carcasses! :teddyr:

Wow, you thought that was funny, Russell? I thought it was pretty grim and effective. Ah well....

Sorry, I thought it was funny.. maybe that's just me. I enjoy laughing at scary movies, or applauding gory scenes. They just don't scare me like they used to.
