Went back a few pages, didn't see a thread on this, but it definitely deserves one. Troma films are sometimes great, sometimes terrible, but most of the time entertaining. Some highlights include The Toxic Avenger series, Tromeo & Juliet, Terror Firmer, Class of Nuke 'em High, Combat Shock, Rabid Grannies, Redneck Zombies, and countless others! Share your favorite Troma movies, moments, and movements here!

For me, Tromeo & Juliet remains my all-time favorite. That movie really has it all!

I haven't seen too many Troma films, outside of Mother's Day (AWESOME!), Girls Shool Screamers (pretty cool "bad" one), and Nightmare Weekend (ouch). Father's Day looks like it's gonna be killer, though.

I've only seen one. Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead is an unwatchable offensive film with no redeeming qualities at all. It's only one of the handful of movies I started seeing that I didn't finish. There is nothing anjoyable about this.
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

Love Troma. Terror Firmer is great, The First Turn-On! as well. Bought the Redneck Zombies dvd last year. Remember seeing some of them on USA's Up All Night as a kid.

I've seen a lot of Troma films, and they're pretty much 50/50 for me. I "like" half and hate the other half. We all know that Troma films are low budget and are supposed to be goofy and depraved, but sometimes they are really so wide of the mark that they take toilet humor and tastelessness to new, almost subterranean levels. I find many Troma films to be extremely boring, but my favourites are; the first two Toxic Avenger movies, Class Of Nuke 'Em High, Chopper Chicks In Zombietown (their best film IMO), Troma's War and Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD.

Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD is great too.  Love that one.  Underrated film.

This is the first one that came to mind.  Great theme song, too!

My favorites are Toxic Avenger and Class Of Nuke 'Em High.

Nuke 'Em High's Chrissy was so hot. (little blue bathing suit scene)

I can't post that photo but I think you should remember it well.

Troma trivia!
Luis de Jesus (who plays the sadistic midget in BLOODSUCKING FREAKS),was infamous for his numerous porno films. Yuck! The last thing I wanna see is that sawed off sicko doing the dirty!  :buggedout:

I actually thought that Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead was a lot of fun and might be their 2nd best film behind The Toxic Avenger. It also didn't hurt that I thought that lead Kate Graham was cute beyond belief!

Terror Firmer is a blast but Tromeo & Juliet never has done much for me. Citizen Toxie was just okay and Toxic Avengers Parts 2 & 3 were horrible. Sgt. Kabukiman would have been better if they hadn't been shooting for a PG-13 rating.

Cannibal! The Musical- In the tradition of Friday the 13th Part 2 and Oklahama!, comes the first Intelligent film about Cannibalism.  Released by Troma, written by and starring Trey Parker and Matt Stone, creators of South Park.

Poultrygeist was a lot of fun.  Pretty decent movie.  As for Toxie 2&3, mostly agreed with those sentiments.  I tend to just skip over them and watch parts 1&4.

Some newer fans of Troma would get a suprise watching Kabukiman.  I don't recall him being a drunk comic foil in it but it's been a while since I saw it.

I love the idea of Troma films. I applaud that there is a movie studio out there willing to finance and distribute films by young directors in their zero-budget efforts. I also love that they promote movies that are flat-out profane, sacrilegious, scatological, and stupid. I am for all of those things.

The downside: I find almost every movie they release to be unwatchable garbage. Every once in a while, something good will come out of Troma, but for every success there are ten or twenty films which are cinematic atrocities. I give zero-budget films five or six more chances than I'll give a properly produced film, but most Troma films still fail that test.

I'm a fan of the studio, but only a fan to very few of their films.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

I had NO idea there was so many Troma films. Wow! I need to get watching.

BTW did anyone here ever watch Frightmare? If so, how was it? It caught my eye.

I've seen:

Tromeo and Juliet
Terror Firmer
Class of Nuke 'em High
Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town
Cannibal the Musical
Poultrygeist
Sgt. Kabukiman
Nymphoid Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell

Like mofo, its the idea I like.
Sure there is fun to be had, but now that I'm not 15 anymore the novelty of gore and boobs has kinda washed off.
I want some intresting ideas and characters too go with the blood and boobage.
