The Burgomaster

This is a decent giallo directed by Lamberto Bava.

Models for a men's magazine called p***ycat are murdered and photographed in front of a poster of the magazine's owner, a beautiful, large-breasted former model named Gioia ("Gloria" in the English dubbed version).  In a nod to REAR WINDOW, Gloria's neighbor (a young guy in a wheelchair who talks dirty to Gloria on the phone) witnesses one of the murders through a telescope.  Another model is locked in her apartment with a swarm of bees.  The killer pours perfume on her to attract the bees.

This movie isn't very original, but it has a slick look to it and held my interest (perhaps the good-looking women helped).

The widescreen DVD from Shriek Show is excellent quality.  And it was nice to see some familiar faces, including Daria Nicolodi, George Eastman, and even Capucine!

Gonna keep my eye out for this one. Big giallo fan, and an even bigger Lamberto Bava fan.

I bought it as part of a 3-movie boxed set.  I'm not sure if this set is still available.
