Been gorgeous here for a change.  Sunny and mid seventies.

We're still stuck in a cycle of sun for a while each day, then torrents of rain.  Everywhere is saturated, and the drainage ditches, creeks, and streams are overflowing. There has been flooding a few miles to the North.  It looks like this is going to continue this week for a few more days.

On the plus side, the garden seems to be enjoying the steady cycle of sun and rain.

It's the first day of July in northeast Texas, and our high was only 92!  Supposed to be down to 66 tonight.  We are LOVING it!

Supposed to get up to 78 F today. It's sunny this morning, with a little breeze.

Just a perfect summer day for me today. Sunny with a nice cool breeze at about 15-17 degrees Celsius. My ideal summer day.

Our high today on Saturday, July 6 is supposed to be or is already at around 93.  The old 10,000 BTU wall unit is crankin' out a song today, I tell ya'  :bouncegiggle:   Been hot since the 3rd week of June.

Jack

Been around 90 here the last couple of days.  It was 85 at 9:30 this morning.  I took that as a good excuse to just spend the rest of the day inside

82 F yesterday and predicted for today and tomorrow. As long as it doesn't go up to 86 F I'm fine with that kind of weather.

We had a couple of horrendously hot 30 degree days the weekend but the temperature has thankfully dipped back below 20 again. Gotta love northerly winds.

The humidex is 44 deg C today: that makes the third day in a row over 40C and they are predicting it will stay until Saturday.  It is pretty miserable trying to get anything done.  Just walking outside generates a lot of sweat.  I don't know how people farther south live with this heat!   :tongueout:

94 F and humid.  I think you'd have to go to the Amazon basin to find someplace more humid than Minnesota.

Try Washington, D.C. in the summer. I almost f****** died, when I was there. How the residents survived before the introduction of air conditioning, I'll never know.

Another 44C humidex day.  I keep telling myself that it is worse elsewhere (the weather station reports that NYC has a humidex today of 49C and Chicago is at 52C!) but that does not seem to help much.  :bluesad:  Best part of the day was hosing the horses down by myself: we all got totally soaking wet with cold water from the hose.  Ahhhh! I just may have got a little sloppy with it on purpose.   (No a/c you see: got to get primitive)
