Winter is here with a vengeance: snow further south in this country so we will catch it soon. And yes, it does get cold here.

Wrong hat.  It should be red & white. Wink

Gorgeous, high 70's F, partly cloudy and 0% chance of rain.  Well no rain until the weekend at least.

To your south, we're in a flood watch as I write.

Rain, and 48 F in late June. I'm pretty sure this month will go down as one of the coldest.

Only mid 60s here in Iowa today.  Rained most of the day.  Supposed to be nice and in the mid 80s tomorrow.  We're supposed to have at least a chance of rain Monday and then again Wed - Sat.

If it doesn't rain Monday or Tuesday the grass may be tall enough to mow again Tuesday.  I've been mowing about every five days lately just because of how quickly it's growing now.  And if I wait too long it either rains for several days or I'm working and can't mow the lawn.  (Warning: Get yer barf bags ready) - I've been hosing myself down with sunscreen and mowing the lawn shirtless so I can get a bit of a tan this year.

It's been an active week weather wise around here.  We got hit by the storms yesterday.

http://www.kwwl.com/story/29381357/2015/06/22/dubuque-clayton-counties-hit-hard-by-monday-storms

Trees down all over the place.  Across the river Menominee got hit pretty hard, with its fire station getting leveled;

It's been fairly nice today but we might have some more active weather tomorrow.  I'm glad I went out and mowed the lawn today.  (PS - if any of you actually want to be blinded swing by as I've been mowing the lawn shirtless lately to build up some color.  PPS - of course I use sunscreen when doing so).

I came across this in town yesterday, a street being blocked off due to a large tree branch laying in the street...

Cold here, the temperature has been 8 degrees Celsius or below the last few days. Rain, drizzle, fog is the norm lately.

It's as if nature is making up for how dangerously awful tomorrow is supposed to be by giving us an almost perfect day today. Low-humidity, warm, sunny, breezy, the air smells wonderful. If my grandmother wasn't in her last day here before going home I'd go for a long hike along the river trail.
