Yeah-I know-I said I quit BAD MOVIES-but its hard to stay away-Its like quitin drinking or cigs-I just cant do it.
Vincent Price-hes a f**kin treasure-the more I see him in none genre films-the more I love him!
My top favorite Vinnie films-
1.COMEDY OF TERRORS (1963)-Price and Lorre are much funnier than Abbot and Costello-there routines get old fast-Price is-priceless!
2.HIS KIND OF WOMAN (1951) Price steals the show as-of all things-a ham actor! And he steals it from Robert Mitchum!!! No small feat.
3.The PIT AND THE PENDULUM (1961) he makes you believe the outlandish bulls**t.
4.THE BARON OF ARIZONA (1950)-He really missed his calling-Vinnie was a great comedy actor.
5.the ABOMINABLE DR.PHIBES (1971) try spelling that without looking at the word! Aboniable--abomnable? f**k!
6.THEATRE OF BLOOD (1973) basically a remake of Phibes-only BETTER! He plays a ham actor! GREAT!
7.HOUSE OF WAX (1953)
8.the TINGLER (1959) his LSD trip out scene is fantastic!
-I could list more-I love anything he's in-but I fell the other day-and my head hurts bad-I got a big knot-looks like a purple grape right above my eye.

Vincent Price automatically adds quality to any movie you put him in.  Even bad movies aren't so bad with Vincent.

I agree. SCREAM AND SCREAM AGAIN (1970) was a incomprehensible  pile of s**t-yet Vinnie-as always-made it worthwhile.

He was awesome in The Ten Commandments (1956) and as the voice over guy in the Thriller music video.

Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

I believe in the international communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

He even made this Western in South Africa

That wasnt his first run with music-he did the video in Alice Coopers Welcome to My NIGHTMARE -

even spouting nonsense-he sounds great.
Only Lugosi and John Carradine can do that.

We actually have a 35mm print of it: makes a so-so movie much better.  :teddyr:

Man, I am glad you put COMEDY OF TERRORS first. I am shocked this movie isn't better known and loved. Price is amazing in it.

"No one in their right mind would be caught dead in that thing!"

You also forgot THE WITCHFINDER GENERAL and THE LAST MAN ON EARTH.  I'll forgive you because of your head injury.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

RCMerchant

I did NOT forget them! I said I wasnt done-his Witchfinder General was perhaps his most evil performance-and the LAST MAN ON EARTH easly trumps Heston and Will Smith.

So many great films, by a great actor.

     THE BAT
     THE RAVEN
     CHAMPAIGNE FOR CAESAR
     MORE DEAD THAN ALIVE
     THE WHALES OF AUGUST
     GREEN HELL
TOWER OF LONDON (original and remake)

    ETC.
If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

Remember Escapes? Not too good but it's always great seeing him in pretty much anything.

My favourite Price role is Prince Prospero in "The masque of red death". The film seems built around his rople, and the writers seem decided from minute #1 to make him the most evil character ever. And Price just delivers. These scene had mi rolling with laughter:

Although the wine tasting duel in "Tales of terror" never ceases to amaze me.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.
