This is absolutely the closest film based on serial killer Ed Gein which inspired Psycho and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. No need of going into deep details about the flick because we're familiar with Gein's cannibal and necropheliac tendencies and he's such a big momma's boy he digs up her corpse and places the flesh of his victim's on her face. AND he can be seen slurping up someone's brain from a spoon! And the actor (Roberts Blossom) looks so much like Gein it's creepy! And the "deer hunting" scene is eerie and effective. Nothing other to say than WATCH IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

If I made a list of my favorite 1970's horror films-this would be on it. I LOVE THIS MOVIE.
He dips his chicken leg in a jar of peanut butter-and from what I read-that was improvised by Robert Blossom.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."
