I'm sure it's just me, but I prefer to reserve the "picture of the day" thread for pictures---a nice, non-verbal gallery for a change of pace. Right now it's mostly memes, which are OK but not really my thing.

Let's see if a separate thread for memes and text-based images will take off.

This is exactly what happened to me when I was about 7: a family friend who was openly gay (and a Christian, and an elder in his church BTW) baby sat me in his house with his partner and I asked them why they were always together.

They explained that they were in love and my reply was "OK, no problem." That was my opinion of LGBTI peeps then and it hasn't changed since, nor will it.
