fair enough, he's got about half a dozen films that are serious contenders... I keep meaning to check out RONIN, in fact I nearly just bought it earlier today when I was in HMV  but I went for Bava's BAY OF BLOOD instead cause somehow I've never seen that either...

I have seen most all of Bava's horror films...except BAY OF BLOOD!  :bluesad:

I watched it yesterday, and would recommend it.

atmospheric and surprisingly gory. in fact for 1971 it's insanely gory... it's a good one, imo.

WILLIAM HOLDEN : NETWORK (1976)  There's a lot of his films I like; I still like this one best.

ERNEST BORGNINETHE DIRTY DOZEN (1969)  There's a lot of his films I like; I still like this one best.

I would argue that both of those fine actors best film is the WILD BUNCH...but that's just me...
But I gotta say that SUNSET BOULEVARD and MARTY come pretty close...!

I'd  have to say clenched teeth clint's best movie was "the eiger sanction".

I actually meant to write THE WILD BUNCH for ERNEST BORGNINE and had a brain fart... I have more and more of those these days.  I watched THE WILD BUNCH last night and that is what made me think of both of them!  I LOVE THE WILD BUNCH!

I been hemming and hawing on Karloff- I would say the BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1935), though FRANKENSTEIN (1931) is real close.
.Peter Lorre- M (1931), but MAD LOVE (1935) is a close second.
.John Carradine- the GRAPES OF WRATH (1940). I could say that for Fonda too.Except mebbe ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST.

I thing goebbles used a scene from it an anti semitic movie.
