Where I am right now it sounds like it's raining from a blue sky but it's this multitude of whirlybirds (water maple seed pods) falling onto the roof and into the water. It's so pleasant I'm about to go full-on Zen. Namaste, y'all, namaste....

Tonight we saw our first lightning bug of the season. The Zen just continues here!

I know there's a small child involved in this marital breakup but I still can't begin to tell how relieved I was to hear about the Gaiman-Palmer split. The long nightmare of her Yoko-ing his work is finally ending.

I wonder if people who refer to Covid-19 as the Wuhan Flu will start referring to the Spanish Flu with the country where the first case was confirmed?

If so- then it would be the Kansas Flu! On a military base no less!

Maybe an early form of germ warfare being tested? By Green Moon Men?

Guess what, you were always told wrong. While they aren't 100% on what country it started in, there is however no doubt which country was responsible for spreading it across the world. Conspiracy theorists claim that it was called the Spanish Flu to avoid the US taking the blame for spreading it, others say it was because Spain was the first country to accurately report on the casualties suffered from it, but it does seem to have spread from American military bases starting in Kansas.

I've been thinking that China should bear responsibility for paying the world wide costs of dealing with this virus, but if they were to then should any country that a disease first appears in then have to bear financial responsibility for the consequences. Given that the Kansas Flu killed around 50 million people compared to the (currently) slightly over 250,000 deaths Covid-19 has caused, I think that is a heavy financial burden that someone should bear. I mean if you are going to blame countries for these outbreaks then lets take this to its logical conclusion. Once we have sorted that one out we can start on claims over the Black Death.

After all, where there is blame, there is a claim and in this case, we have a clear blame.

now come on guys, yes, kansas is an awesome state, even if most of the legislature is RED, but we AREN'T a country on our own, nor do we wish to be. we leave that stupidity to the reds in texas, lol! ( no offense to my texan friends)
but yeah, most of my very military family believes that it did start on the bases here, and our boys spread it to the rest of the world. i'm gonna believe them first, our granddads and uncles and cousins were there then. and our family was hit hard, both here in kansas and in missouri, but not as bad as other states were. farmers are naturals at social distancing.
seriously, cerb, why do you believe any of those idiots? left or right, extremists are just that, and THEY are the ones who encourage what should be considered terrorism, with armed protests just because they want a friggin haircut and are too stupid to protect their own, much less anyone else.
don't EVEN...EVER!

And now the anti-vaxxers have jumped in with a "documentary" called PLANDEMIC, explaining that COVID-19 is just a plot from the vaccine industry to make us all sick and dependent . . .
