If an aircraft goes into a dive and achieves terminal velocity so that all forces are balanced and the pilot is effectively floating in 0g will a mercury switch still work?

When I was going through training I asked my instructors this question and no one has yet been able to answer it.

Why can ghosts move things around and do all sort of shennanigans but aren't able to verbally communicate in a comprehensive matter with the living?

Maybe because there are no such things as ghosts? And poltergeist activity is usually linked to some kinda brain power that children have in puberty?
That means I have no f**king clue.
Unless they just haunt a joint for decades, maybe them talking to you would maybe humanize them, and all they really want to do is scare the sh!t out of you!  :buggedout:
I have had real scary moments with 'ghosts'. I don't try to ever talk to them.

Why haven't we changed a geometrical circle from 360 degrees to 100 degrees? It'd make more sense. because a hundred is much easier to work with. You know why we have 360-degree circles anyway? Because the ancient Mesopotamians thought there were 360 days in a year. There's a hundred days in a year, you dead Babylonian a***oles, so that's another point in its favor. (I love misleading dead Iron Age people.)

Perhaps France didn't think anyone needed a new way of calculating angles.

Perhaps because 360 is divisible by more numbers than 100: it can be split into halves, thirds, quarters, fifths and sixths without resorting to fractions.

So we should to change it after thousands of years?
Do you know how long it will take this world of stupid people to assimilate to those changes?
Maybe if you include it in a Star Wars movie, geeks will catch on.
Otherwise- I don't think so.

The metric system caught on. (Outside the U.S.) But there wasn't a single standard measurement system before; standards varied by region, & standards were changed from time-to-time.

^ yeah, but it's still March 12, of 2021, unless your on the Starship, Enterprise, because then it turns into Star date some s**t or another.  Then you got Star Wars- where it was " long ago and far away"...!

See? I'm already confused!

That reminds me, France tried decimal time in the late 1700's.

Yikes!
I can't imagine children having to re-learn how to count to ten according to the metric system!

I hope we all die in a painless way. If it it involves pain, I guess I'll die in pain! Ain't much you can do if a serial killer decides he wan'ts to dissect you.
What this has to do with anything, I have no clue.
Sometimes I fell I'm insane and think I don't know more than a new born child.
Yeah- this has nothing to do with what we were talking about. But my brain wanders.
