Final total was a hair over $6.5M. I believe this may actually be more than the original Kickstarter.

There are already plans for a Christmas special and a Halloween special. I say do like the Peanuts franchise and have an Arbor Day special. The 1990 movie The Guardian would be the perfect candidate.

Yep, set a new record. I pledged a total of $180 for which I will get

The 13-episode season on Blu-ray + downloads of all episodes
10 more downloadable classic episodes (added for for the KTMAs, which I regretted not getting last time they were offered)
Stickers, cup and popcorn bucket, t-shirt
12 month pass to the "Gizmoplex"
1 month pass to "Rifftrax Friends"
Rifftrax short
Downloadable Rifftrax movie (unfortunately, I already own the one they're sending, "Gammera the Invincible")
Rifftrax "just the jokes" track of "Wizard of Oz" (this could be fun but I've never fiddled with "just the jokes" tracks before)

A decent value, I guess. I'm hoping for the best.

So far, three movies have been announced. They are Robot Wars (1993, from our old pal Charlie Band), Demon Squad (2019, what looks like an indy produced urban fantasy film), and Gamera vs Jiger, with the return of Kon "Cornjob" Omura sporting some unfortunate facial hair.

I prefer to be surprised by the titles (not a knock on you, Joel is the one leaking them and I disagree with that decision of his). Anyway, if they have JIGER, hopefully they'll get the other 2 Showa Gamera films they haven't done yet, too.

No, I had heard the titles already. I was saying I wish Joel hadn't spoiled them.

Through some deduction, a guy on the MST3K forum has determined that one of the movies to be screened in the upcoming season. I won't name it in this post for those who prefer to be surprised. Anyway, this was determined thanks to a recent post on the Kickstarter page which featured photos of some of the props, which is linked below (AFAIK it's not a Backers Only post). The third photo includes a SAT Prep Guide: 70s Dirtbag Edition. Now have a glance at the IMDB photo gallery for the movie in question in the second link.

I correctly predicted the 3D movie. The rest are surprises. Some very obscure movies there, a few I'd heard of. Only 2 I've already seen.

Which ones? I've watched Gamera vs Jiger, have seen screen captures of The Bat Woman (not something you forget), and have heard about The Shape of Things to Come. The rest are fairly new to me.

Jiger and the Mask.

But only for Kickstarter backers, I think.
