You know how some characters are plain and simply D-bags?  Then they belong here.

For the first inductee, I nominate Corporal Upham from Saving Private Ryan. Not only was he a geeky, wussy, moralistic pain in the other guys' balls throughout the film, even going so far as to fraternize with an enemy who'd just killed a member of his squad, but he was too scared during the big battle to carry ammo to his comrades, which resulted in some of them dying!

As if all that wasn't d-baggy enough, Upham's big moment came at the film's end when he shot an unarmed prisoner of war in cold blood!

I pin a medal on Corporal Upham....D-bag First Class!

Now nominate away! D-bagdom awaits.....

Leslie Nielsen as 'Paul Jensen' (had to look up the name!) in DAY OF THE ANIMALS

probably the most obnoxious, arrogant character with no redeeming factors I've ever seen. The way he keeps calling one of the other guys "hotshot" just adds to the annoyingness

Jack from Message From Space. He wears a tacky suit & hat. He's a coward. He constantly complains. He sells the princess to a woman who wants her for her son. And somehow we're supposed to be concerned when the bad guys catch him.

There's a good case for his sadistic deputy being even worse.

Carter Burke in Aliens.

Upon learning about the existence of the aliens from Ripley, he sends colonists to look for them without even warning them that the things are dangerous, all so he can make an extra buck.

Once on the mission to the colony, he throws everyone under the bus to try to get an alien past quarantine so he can give it to the bioweapons division to make a buck. When the aliens attack, he throws everyone under the bus to try to save himself.

Tim Choate as Howe in DEFCON-4 (1985)
You think this guy is going to be the first to get killed, then you keep thinking (& hoping) he's the next to get killed...
You keep hoping that Vinny (Maury Chaykin) gets is too, but both of these dbags end up being the heroes...
