It has been decided not to shoot it down because of the danger from falling debris last I heard.

It was just shot down off the coast of the Carolinas...

Good. I wonder if they will recover the wreckage and find out what it really was.

Say, indy, you're a history teacher, do you think it's wise for Tyler, in his paper, to refer to Germany as "the swinging dick" of late-19th century Europe?

Oops, I misquoted. "Big swinging dick." He bade me correct that.

May I suggest he also uses "big dick energy"?

I would say that depends on the teacher's sense of humor.
But, really, it's not that accurate.  Germany was the "wait for me, dammit!" kid trying to catch up with the British, who were the Captain of the European football team.

I know there's a thread about ads somewhere around here but I couldn't find it.  I keep seeing an ad on this site only for Etsy that has pictures of things that would reasonably be on Etsy, like jewelry and tshirts, but also includes a mug shot of Lou Diamond Phillips.  I'm not clicking it.  I guess someone on Etsy could be selling some kind of mug shot art, but I feel like it's probably click-bait.  It did inspire me to re-watch Route 666 though.

I had a question I was going to ask in the Personal Questions thread, but then it occurred to me that asking it would really put someone on here in a spin, even if they didn't answer it, and not in a good way. Just one of those things I guess I will never know the answer to now.

Not you my friend, although even if the person did guess right, I wouldn't tell them.

What is termed the definitive stamp of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd is believed to be the most reproduced piece of artwork in history.

Before hearing that I can't say I'd ever really considered stamps to be artwork.
