A rare case where the game was more interesting than the commercials.

The Puppy Bowl is literally the only thing I miss about basic cable.

What, another high wind advisory here? That's like the second in four days. 30-50 MPH winds possible? Blah, and I had to take the big, boxy gust-catching van today, didn't I?

I wonder what a digital camera will do for my looks?

Probably nothing unless they drop the camera on my head 😳😳😳

Always buy a good mattress and a good pair of shoes, because you're going to spend almost your whole life in one or the other.

I wonder if LOTR fans would turn on Tolkien the way Harry Potter fans have turned on J.K. Rowling, if they knew more about his views. Like I bet not many knew Tolkien wrote this:

"No item of Christian morality is valid only for Christians."

Kubrick certainly enjoyed putting in tiny details. I found out last night that in that final photo in The Shining (the inclusion of which, to be honest, I never liked) Jack is posed in a way that just perhaps echoes the posture of Baphomet in a famous 18th century illustration. Somehow this seemed creepy to my half-asleep state late in the night.

If I see another f**king superhero movie I'll jump out a window. Not a tall window. My house is only a basement, the house, and the attic.
Why don't they make a Sgt. Rock movie?  Question

Eh, Hollywood would probably draw up some kind of kinder, gentler Franklin John Rock, to be portrayed by some boring pretty boy actor....
That's what they've been at the last thirty years....

One should never say, even in jest "When we got married, I gave us 3 to 7 years."

You will not be allowed to forget it.

Sheesh, when I was getting married my dad said to me just as we were ready to walk down the aisle, "You could still just go for child support, you know."

One of the funniest things he's ever said to me.
