If Yoko Ono came to my house, I'd drape a marble birdbath in scarlet velvet, align it toward true north, then fill it with freshly-squeezed pomegranate juice, because I think it'd make her feel welcome.

If Jeffery Dahmer came to my house, I'd have the fridge stocked with frozen dicks, heads, and hands.

Reminds me of that scene in State of Grace where Gary Oldman keeps a pair of chopped off hands in his freezer for fingerprints.  :buggedout: :teddyr:

Yikes, I just remembered I was still in college when I saw that: 1990! But it is very good and it's about the New York Irish gangsters The Westies. I believe that those were buggers you didn't mess with.  :buggedout:

I was born in NYC! The Bronx!
I never paid no mind to gangs. Nobody in the Bronx ever even noticed me. I was a poor white boy. My only friend was a guy from Columbia who could barely speak English. But I had a Led Zep t shirt on at DeWitt Clinton High School. So we sat in Poe Park after school and got drunk and listened to heavy metal on a bench facing the main road right in front of Edgar Allen Poe's house. He had a boom box!

I wonder if people wet the bed more often on nights when rain is falling on the roof?

Aren't you just glad that you don't do that at all?
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Soft rock is my most despised music genre. I absolutely can't stand it. A graveyard at night has more life in it than soft rock has.
yeah no.

A longtime online friend was born in the Bronx. She lived there until the early 2000s and then moved to Houston. She would go to Poe Park very often. I think she lived not too far off. She showed me lots of pics of the park and house. I'd love to visit some day but I'm too afraid of flying.

I was asked by someone who likes to shock if it's "too soon" to dress up for Halloween as a pair of Covid lungs, and I said I think it is. He said, "Spanish flu 1918 lungs?" I suggested something from Star Wars instead.

^ Can't he just dress up as colon cancer? That way he won't have to wear a costume.
