Someone is doing a gofundme to get a proper grave for Helen Chandler from Dracula (1931) https://www.gofundme.com/f/a-niche-for-helen-chandler-at-hollywood-forever?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_source=customer

Her ashes are now in some storage vault thingy

They are more than halfway to their goal. One guy gave $1,000 !

That's from the person who runs the Hollywood Graveyard channel on Youtube, Arthur Dark. He explores graveyards across the globe - with quite a bit of help - and in a very respectful manner allows people to see where famous people are buried.

He only made me go  :buggedout: once when he showed where the infamous Ed Gein is buried.  :buggedout:

^ You went to Wisconson?
It's an unmarked grave in Plainsfield, on a family plot.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

One of the Hollywood Graveyard episodes went there: when I heard the spooky music, I thought "Uh oh, this isn't going to be good" and then the narrator said "this is the unmarked grave of Ed Gein" and I went  :buggedout:

A moment of silence for the 333rd. anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne.

(I heard somebody talking back there. No recess for the class.)
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

A battle celebrated by protestants, even though there were more catholics fighting on their side than there were on the other side.

Ever seen the Trainspotting sequel? lol

(You know, "Fighting Irish" is clearly apocryphal. Except for one on one Irish can't fight worth s**t.)

I've not watched that one yet.

OK, so I just finished up the book Victoria's Daughters, the bios of Queen Victoria's, uh, daughters, and on about page forty-four I came across something that stopped me mid-sentence, because the implications were immense.

The author, Jerrold M. Packard, was discussing Victoria as a presumed carrier of hemophilia, and said Albert could be ruled out as the source of the genetic transmission, but the oddity was that nowhere else in either family before Victoria could hemophilia be found, which left two possibilities, the first that Victoria experienced a spontaneous mutation that resulted in her becoming a carrier of gene that infamously results in the illness in males, which does occur in one in seventy-thousand women, or Victoria's putative father, the Duke of Kent, from whom she inherited her claim to the throne, and from whom all subsequent British royalty to this day inherited their own claims.....was not actually her biological father.

This would mean that neither Victoria nor any monarch since, including Charles III, was entitled to the throne, and may all have been the product of a long-ago extra-marital tryst.

Work is slow, but it is also a bit of a wreck with dairy's cooler door breaking off of a wall it was attached to, and the floor machine leaks worse than it usually does.
yeah no.

As much as the scenery is gorgeous I am bored with doing this same train journey.

It seems water cremations are becoming more and more popular. I'd never have thought that people would want to out boil in the bag style.

During their invasion of Ukraine, the closest Russian troops have come to capturing a major city is when they were advancing on Moscow.
