I signed up for twitter 10 years ago, abandoned but didn't delete my twitter account 4-5 weeks later.
For years I got emails from twitter informing me that people are now following me, which I thought was funny because the only thing I ever tweeted was "test" and that was it.

I believe they were fake accounts created by twitter trying to lure me back.

I gather I belong too, but I don't ever remember going there... yet, I get messages from Twitter like : "John, did you see that great tweet?"  And : "John, we miss you!"
