trawling imdb last night I stumbled on REVENGE OF THE STEPFORD WIVES

never heard of this 1980 sequel. apparently it's quite silly and crappy, so I may check out the youtube upload later

but it got me thinking, how many other 'Revenge Of The' movies are there

what was the very first? what's the worst? what's the best?

and was revenge achieved, or was the title factually innaccurate?!  :teddyr:

the REVENGE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1958)

..I thought was excellent.

I reckon Dr. Frankenstein got some kind of 'revenge' being as he cheated the hangman.

I really enjoyed the Hammer Frankenstein series. It didn't concentrate on the monster-it was all about Peter Cushing trying over and over to perfect whatever he was trying to do. And failing every time.

There is a whole series of "Revenge of the nerds" movies. I think I might even have seen one of them.

You would think it is some kind of zombie movie, but..... no.  All I really remember about it was that it about bored me to tears.

REVENGE OF THE CREATURE (1955)
I guess he gets some kinda revenge.
He knocks over a car and scares teenagers.

The first sequel to Creature From the Black Lagoon.  It wasn't a bad B movie from what I remember.

Probably the most notable thing about it is that it included Clint Eastwood's first (brief) film appearance.

Revenge of the Ninja (1983)
Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978)
Revenge of the Cheerleaders (1976)
Revenge of the Radioactive Reporter (1990)

There aren't really that many but plenty of obscure ones.
Is it October yet?

There's also Revenge of the Nerd (1983) AKA Battle Of The Bullies, an afterschool special about a junior high school geek who figures out how to play on a bully's fascination with flying saucers.....

Not to mention Pinocchio's Revenge (1996)

IMDB also has The Revenge of Tarzan (1920), which must be one of the first.

1920 yeah that must be one of the first if not the first... over 100 years of revenge!

the whole premise just has 'bad movie' written all over it

if we include the word featuring anywhere in the title as above then of course JAWS THE REVENGE can go in. also PUPPETMASTER 3: TOULON'S REVENGE

I can give them a hearty recommendation. Cushing plays a good obsessive villian.

cool. seems the hammer ones carry on up to 1974

and apparently Dave Prowse plays the monster in 2 of them, never knew that!
