didn't know the other 2 you mentioned

I've only seen The Uncanny once back in vhs days and I don't recall much about it. I did see Night Creature at the drive-in, and there's a cheapo bad quality bootleg-ish DVD from the 2000s.

Even though it has Donald Pleasence in it Night Creature is rather dull, uninspired and mega slow paced.
Is it October yet?

I think you should give Roar an honorable mention. It came out in 1981, but it was filmed in the  70s, and the animals did attack.

...NIGHT OF THE LEPUS...

Like PROPHECY I'm pretty sure they're mutated LEPUS... so not what you're looking for.   Hilarious.

The Rats Are Coming! The Werewolves Are Here! (1972)

I'm going to be honest, I remember expecting a rats attack movie and being disappointed so maybe it doesn't count.  I actually don't remember any rats in this movie, but I do remember chickens!

From what I read there are rats in the film, but I don't think they attack anyone.

SCARS OF DRACULA (1970) had a church full of people killed by bats.

I mean... are there any Hammer films where people aren't killed by bats? :teddyr:

Going by the summary, The Adventures of the Wilderness Family (1975) has both animal attacks & friendly animals.

I think I saw a bit of the end on TV once.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventures_of_the_Wilderness_Family

There were two sequels. The first, The Further Adventures of the Wilderness Family (1978) has the family face wolves during the winter: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Further_Adventures_of_the_Wilderness_Family

The third entry in the series doesn't have any animal attacks listed in the plot summary, so I'm not including it. (Yet.)

interesting...for the sake of what I'm looking for which is kind of schlocky, sensationalist b-movies where the entire focus is on the '>insert animal< attacks!!!' angle, I'm not sure if they'd count. will check out the trailers though

bought this recently... mad film. there really is no other film like it that I've seen.. actors getting mauled by lions for real, while they're trying to act! didn't know it was filmed in the 70s

Looking over the list, we've left out GRIZZLY (1976). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grizzly_(film)

Grizzly II doesn't count; it wasn't filmed till the mid-80's.

Would "The Crater Lake Monster" count? Or is that more of a monster movie?

Our late friend Raffine (Tony) told me about that and I have always wondered what the director was thinking as there is a static shot of a bush which lasts for almost a minute  :buggedout:

I said GRIZZLY in my original post... I got the blu ray release that came out about 5 years ago. in the bonus extras there's a documentary where for some reason, totally out of the blue, they start showing photos of Christopher George naked....

I want to see GRIZZLY 2, it sounds fun altho apparently never completed even though it's finally got a release

It was to be titled something different, but WILLARD and BEN were doing great box office, so they added "rats" in the title, and the movie art.
