The Virginia State Police fondly recalls providing security to #hermajesty #queenelizabeth during her visits to the #Virginia Capitol & the #jamestown Anniversaries in 1957 & 2007.

And then there was this tweet from this twit  :hatred:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11194501/Jeff-Bezos-slams-Carnegie-Mellon-professor-vile-tweet-ailing-Queen.html

I will admit that I was never a fan of the Queen - due to her silence after Princess Diana's death - but that tweet is beyond vile.

Yeah it is and from what I read it was a painful death.  Hell with thinking twice about hiring a graduate of that school, I'd think 10,000 times before I did so.  I wrote to the school and told them if they expected forgiveness from me they had better check the temperature in f**king hell first.

This is not too far away from where we are:

The shop owner is a conspiracy nut who has all sorts of things up on chalkboards in her shop about covid being fake and so on. Trip Advisor has had to lock reviews of her place and their facebook page has been shut off.

This woman was especially torn up about the news.

Wouldn't be surprised.  Jeannette Charles had played her majesty in various media productions longer than I've been alive, from 1974 up to 2010.  She was born one year after Elizabeth.

Diana would have been a good and decent queen.

I've long proclaimed it.  DIANA was the only royal I've ever admired, the People's Princess.

The queen's death has highlighted many lingering questions about monarchy, none good for royals.

Just came across her last Christmas message.

I wonder if her happy traditions included watching Die Hard and Christmas Vacation?

This clip made me go  :buggedout: when I realized that she actually had a sense of humor and a good one at that.

Odd to hear Harry call her 'Granny' even though she was his grandmother  :teddyr:
