A car salesman gets drawn into a battle for a powerful stone.

PG-13 rated action adventure martial arts fantasy family comedy. The movie is based on a superhero character created by real life millionaire / car salesman Charlie Clark who has dabbled in acting, martial arts, boxing and wrestling for decades. Before the movie there was a Green Ghost mini (TV?) series in the 2000s also starring Charlie Clark. And before, during and after that he would dress up as the Green Ghost hosting charity events, or appear at wrestling events and what not. I guess he just wants to be a real life superhero.

In Green Ghost and the Masters of the Stone Charlie Clark plays himself and must face magic shenanigans. Danny Trejo brings out the superhero in Charlie, scenes that borrows from The Karate Kid. Green Ghost also gets help from two childhood friends who are acting as his sidekicks. Funny enough, in childhood flashbacks all three are the same age yet Charlie Clark is clearly a middle-aged man and his two friends look like they are in their late twenties.

As far as the fight stuff goes, Chilean martial arts action actor Marko Zaror plays the villain. WWF wrestler Bobby Lashley can be seen in a cage match. Then there's martial arts veteran Arnold Chon, and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez who also gets a bit of screen time. Sounds exciting but its not. Plenty of fights but watered down for PG-13. Just overlong scenes of kicks and punches blocked. Kind of like watching one boring Martial Arts exhibition after the other. What's even worse is they usually have one fight cutting back and forth to other fights happening at the same time, and none of them are really exciting. It sure is a convenient way to stretch the film with worthless filler material.

Green Ghost was filmed in 2015, but not released until 2022. Is it bad? Yes, but not Ed Wood bad. Its not unintentional funny bad, and its not so bad that it causes pain. Its just a piece of bad fluff. I'd rate it 1/5.
