I also did a sequel to Eraserhead from another thread:

Quote from: claws on July 30, 2023, 04:28:06 AMEraserhead 2: Birth of the Demon Witch (1979)

Made for TV sequel to David Lynch's Eraserhead (1977)

Following his son's unexplained death, Julius Spencer (Richard Crenna) is curious about the events that transpired in his son's apartment. Madam Abigail (Ava Gardner), a clairvoyant who Julius consults, informs him that his son had a daughter named Sally (Kristy McNichol) that no one is aware of. Detective Burns (Tom Selleck) investigating the case believes Sally is being controlled by a satanic cult.

Director: Curtis Harrington

Lead Actor: Richard Crenna (Julius Spencer)
Lead Actress: Kristy McNichol (Sally)

Trivia:

David Lynch did not approve of this.

Director Curtis Harrington shot the freeze-frame ending in B&W as a homage to the original Eraserhead which was filmed in B&W.

and Ghost 2

Quote from: claws on October 30, 2023, 09:17:18 AMGhost 2: @mail from Sam (1996)

"Norris takes 'Ghost (1990)' to the next level in this heartfelt, action-packed sequel!" (Description on video box)

A strange e-mail from his deceased brother Sam (William Zabka), who was murdered by his best friend Carl (Jake Busey) six years prior, is received by retired kickboxing champion and fitness studio owner Chance Wheat (Chuck Norris). In the e-mail, Sam begs for assistance in defending his wife Molly (Shannen Doherty), who is being attacked paranormally by Carl's ghost, who also passed away six years earlier.

Martial arts pupil Taryn Brown (Angie Everhart), who happens to be a medium, is contacted by her trainer Chance. He tells her about the e-mail, she confirms Sam's message after talking to spirits with her Ouija board. Fearing for his ex-sister-in-law, Chance leaves for New York and settles in with Molly. He starts teaching Molly martial arts to give her more self-assurance, but stumbles down stairs and into a coma while attempting to assist Molly during an attack.

Taryn uses her Ouija board to reach hospitalized Chance and teaches him how to exit his vegetative body in spirit form. Soon enough Chance teaches Sam martial skills in the hereafter, with Molly sending good thoughts and vibes, so they can defeat Carl's wicked entity in a ghostly kickboxing match.

Quote from: zombie no.one on September 28, 2024, 02:57:06 AMoh are we talking about sequels that have been actually mentioned already in some context? I was taking it in an 'invent a badmovie title' way....
I was to. Films that were mentioned, but left unmade:

Ralph Bakshi's Lord of the Rings, Part II

The original wasn't great, but at least the sequel would have finished the story. And I believe UT would have been better than Rankin\Bass' Return of the King.

Splinter of the Mind's Eye, a lower budget follow up to Star Wars. There was a novel, which is a fun read.

There was also a proposed follow up to "Splinter of the Mind's Eye" which I've liked to see. Don't remember the title, & I don't think anything was written for it.

QuoteI Know What You Did Last Summer... Again

After the return of the Scream franchise, Sony is looking to resurrect I Know What You Did Last Summer with another sequel. With both Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt in talks to reprise their roles, you can bet this would be a legacy sequel if they do come for another instalment. Do Revenge's Jennifer Kaytin Robinson is set to direct with Leah McKendrick writing the screenplay. This will be the fourth movie in the series, and the third to star Hewitt and Prinze Jr.
