I remember buying the VHS, along with The Boogens (1981), which had it's home video debut, in the late 1990s. I wasn't expecting much from Howling: New Moon Rising but was surprised it had a decent bass. My VCR was hooked up to a stereo surround system (three speakers) so, at least the film had decent sound!

Other than that it was awful

for me there is something so charmingly amateur and almost naively good natured about it, that I can't help but love it? it's like the ultimate fun bad movie. most people seem really despise it though

Part 6 is the one that completely bored me, that was a slog to get through
